My Story

Hi, I’m Sasheeny — founder, maker, and lifelong tea lover.

My soapmaking journey began in a deeply personal place. As a teenager, I struggled with HS (hidradenitis suppurativa). With no real solutions that worked for me, I simply learned to live with the pain and messiness of it all. For years, I endured it quietly, until I began exploring more natural ways to care for my body.

Last year, I started leaning into natural soaps — but quickly realized how costly they could be. Around the same time, I was in my “make it at home” era: cutting foods that didn’t serve me, focusing on wellness, and learning how much of what we put on our skin is absorbed into the body. That’s when I poured my first batch of soap — and I was hooked.

What started as a personal solution has grown into a creative passion and the beginnings of Hubbard Manor Soap Co.

Why Tea?

Tea has always been part of my life — 3 to 5 cups a day, a quiet comfort and a symbol of gathering. When I discovered tea’s benefits for the skin, it felt natural to bring that love into soapmaking.

Today, tea-infused soaps are at the heart of Hubbard Manor, starting with Black Rose Noir — a blend of Ceylon black tea and roses that’s as elegant as it is nourishing. It’s the first of many tea-inspired bars I plan to create.

My Philosophy

I don’t believe in complicated ingredient lists or products you can’t pronounce. Instead, I focus on:

  • Nourishing oils & clays for a creamy, gentle cleanse

  • Botanicals & teas for beauty and function together

  • Small-batch care so each bar is hand-poured, never mass-produced

My background in interior design and my love of hosting tea gatherings shape how I create: every soap should be both useful and beautiful — a bar you’ll enjoy displaying as much as using.
